AtlasTrend recently ran a competition for attendees at the CeBIT Australia tech conference. Entrants had to predict the 6 month investment performance of AtlasTrend’s Big Data Big managed fund to 31 May 2017. The entrant with the closest prediction would win a $1,000 investment in an AtlasTrend managed fund of their choice.

The actual investment performance of AtlasTrend’s Big Data Big Fund for the 6 months to 31 May 2017 was +9.59% (click here for investment performance details).

 

There was more than one valid competition entry with the same closest prediction to the actual performance of the Big Data Big Fund. A tie-breaker question took place:

“In 25 words or less, tell us why you think big data will change the world in the next 10 years?”

 

The submission by the winning entrant was:

“Complicated issues will become understandable and unknown problems/opportunities will be revealed.  Unimaginable careers and amazing breakthroughs in poverty, health, education and security will result.”
